The Bragg-Mitchell Mansion and Conde-Charlotte Museum House
In 1822, the Conde-Charlotte Museum House was built to serve as the first official courthouse and jail for the city. They later renovated some rooms to reflect the period. Another great historical attraction is the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion on Springhill Avenue. Constructed in 1855, they had entertainment in mind because it features a double parlor and elegant spiral staircase. Designed with a combination of Italianate architecture and Greek Revival in mind, it is considered one of the finest antebellum mansions in Mobile. Throughout the day, you can get a free tour of the home.
